Spiritvisions - Glastonbury
A Little Shop With A Great Big Hart!
A unigue business created by Barbara Meiklejohn-Free and Glastonbury artist, Yuri Leitch.
Located in the centre of Glastonbury, just nine strides from the busy High Street - a quiet spot hidden amidst the busy and bustling Somerset town.
Opened on the 1st of May, 2009, by Spirit’s call to action!
Serving spirit of all cultures but specialising in the natural power-spirits and spirit-guides of the Brtish Isles - the animals, trees, plants, gods & godesses from the Celtic otherworlds of British Lore.
Selling books and clothing, drums and flutes, sharing knowledge and creating artwork to commission.
‘SPIRITVISIONS’ is a hybrid - part shop and part art studio. Come in and watch drums being painted and chat to Yuri whilst he works.
HOW TO FIND US - A little way up Glastonbury High Street, opposite the local bakers ‘Burns the Bread’ is a passage way besides the ‘
Art of Africa’ shop.
If you look above the ‘Art of Africa’ shop you’ll see an old pub sign still hanging there - this used to be an old pub called ‘THE MONARCH’.
The alleyway used to lead to the old ‘Skittle Alley’, now it is the ‘Monarch Way’ - where sits our little shop.
You’ll know our shop by the sign of the ‘White Hart’ (in Scottish lore ‘the Monarch of the Glen’).
In Druidic lore, when the White Hart appears it means that the otherworld is very close by.
The White Hart is also the sacred symbol of Gwyn ap Nudd, the Celtic ‘King of the Fairies’ whose abode was (and still is) Glastonbury Tor.
